3 years ago we created a new concept, that is both energising and motivating- a business discussion forum, where networking and bite size learning is rolled into one. Because we give you business topics to discuss, it’s easy to break the ice and talk to everyone. If you want to see how it works, please book a place at one of our meetings in Reading. We recommend you book early, as we limit numbers at the meetings.

The format at our meetings: 

All morning or evening meetings start with some social networking - you buy your own drink at the bar. This is followed by 1 1/2 hours of facilitated networking which can include a discussion forum, speed networking, a referral meeting or even a business clinic. There is a slot for announcements, and the meeting finishes with more social networking. You are welcome to stay on afterwards. 

Inner Circle Business Club

If you really want to take your business to the next level, the Inner Circle provides a close-knit community of focused business women with the same thing in common – they want to develop their business. Through monthly meetings, an online forum and regular conference calls, the group share their goals, aspirations and challenges. As the skills within the group naturally vary, each member benefits from a range of alternative views and solutions to any issues they may be facing.

Our signature activity is a facilitated process of ‘Slow’ Networking, where you connect with people in pairs or small groups, changing over regularly during the evening, helping you to meet as many people as possible. 

At traditional Speed Networking you may only have a minute or two each to present your business, but not at our meetings! 

We believe in helping you build quality connections, and you can't really do that without finding out a little more about each other. So we give you enough time each to talk about your business and perhaps discover something you may have in common with the other person. 

This provides a great opportunity to learn as much about our respective businesses as we do about each other.  To help you get the most out of our meetings, here are our top five tips.

Just-Do-It-Morning- How can it help 'you'?

This productive morning will help you make a head start on some of your challenging, overdue or tedious activities! 

You will call a conference line at 9am on the chosen morning, to 'meet' other participants who will all share the activities or items on their to do lists that they wish to tackle during the morning. 

Activities can include anything from difficult sales calls to more mundane tasks like tidying the desk or filing some paper work. 

Previous participants have used the morning to focus on their business plan, reorganise their email systems, update their websites or make contact with specific customers- all tasks that for various reasons had dropped to the bottom of their to do lists. 

The first call lasts up to 20 minutes (depending on number of participants) after which people go off and start the first
task they committed to do. They then call back at 10.30am & 12pm for a brief progress update.  

Participants can discuss any organisational problems or ask questions, and they tend to find the group support very motivating. It helps them commit to their actions, get things done and makes them feel really good!

Apart from the cost of your telephone calls (approx £5), there is a charge of £17.50 to take part, which works out at less than £6 per call! Included in the above fee is a free 1-1 follow up call from the facilitator to help you answer or deal with any remaining questions. (There is no charge for Inner Circle members!)

A few notes 

Please note that we are a not-for-profit network, and as our meetings are facilitated we do have some expenses to cover.  

Places at our meetings are limited and we therefore ask that you book your place in advance which is also more cost effective. We currently charge £7.50 if you have reserved a place but prefer to pay at the event. This fee will soon increase to £10. 

Please note, to pay by credit card you do not need to have a Paypal account.
