About Us

Welcome to Success Network, from Founder Ute Wieczorek-King

My passion is to inspire and empower women in business to succeed and I do enjoy running this fabulous, supportive community. I help busy women to focus on what matters most in business, to have more time, be more effective and productive, and the business to be more profitable.

I have written an Ebook and a number of articles on different topics, including stress, time management, business planning, and change. I am a speaker, I design and facilitate events including Success Network’s landmark event- the largest independant International Women’s Day celebration for women in business in the Thames Valley.  Smaller training events and the Inner Circle Business Clubs, which I founded in 2007, help women to develop and grow their business.

On a personal note I am happily married with three grown up children and have first hand experience of balancing a successful business with other commitments, and coping with stress caused by major change. My personal time is very special to me, especially spending quality time with my family and ‘down’ time to recharge my batteries. I enjoy travelling and writing and my future plans include writing a book about change and experiencing some of the world’s most famous train journeys.

My professional background: Being bilingual (English & German) and seeing a need for specialised language skills in business, I started my first business in 1992: ‘uwk languages’, a corporate language training provider. My background is in education and with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, I grew my business steadily over a period of 10 years. Specialising in a niche market with large IT/ Telecoms companies, I offered innovative and sought after training services, delivering a tailored and personalised service.

When my business was affected by training cuts and job losses as a result of the dot.com crash, I took the opportunity to train as a performance coach for business. I founded a second business, ‘uwk coaching’, in 2002, and ran both businesses for several years. I became one of the first independent coaches in the East Berkshire area, offering executive performance & cross-cultural coaching to people in the IT industry, as well as career & work-life balance coaching to staff and members of a large leisure organisation. My interest in helping small businesses run by women eventually led to co-founding Success Network with my colleague Mary Fraser in 2005.
